‘Only Fools and Horses’ fans dressed as Batman and Robin win Midlands auction to buy prop from TV series

A prop that featured in the BBC comedy ‘Only Fools and Horses’ has sold for a hammer price of £28,000 (plus 24% buyer's premium including VAT) at Dudley auction house Aston's. The winning bidders arrived at the saleroom suitably attired – in a Batman and Robin costume.

A demi-parure of mid-18th century Swedish gold jewellery offered by Brightwells (22% buyer’s premium) in Leominster was accompanied by a painted portrait miniature of the original owner wearing the set. The miniature, although uninscribed, was dated 1845.
